Special Ed Teacher | Lakeville, Minnesota

An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Elementary Special Education Teacher to support a Federal Setting 2 classroom within an elementary school environment. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who thrives in independent work settings and can effectively manage classroom responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Location: Lakeville, MN
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Schedule adjustments may apply during parent/teacher conferences in Quarter 2 and Quarter 3. There may also be an expectation to attend 1–2 additional school events throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to a current caseload of 4 students, with potential growth up to 7 students
• Implementing curriculum and instructional platforms such as Sonday, Great Leaps, and Moving with Math
• Utilizing SpedForms for due process and compliance documentation
• Maintaining strong organizational practices to support student success and classroom management
• Adapting instructional methods as needed to meet diverse student needs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics
• Experience managing small to moderate special education caseloads
• Familiarity with or strong willingness to learn the designated curricula and platforms
• Exceptional organizational and classroom management skills
• Background in teaching special education at the elementary level
