This full-time Special Education teaching position in Lakeville, MN (approximately 50 minutes south of Minneapolis) offers an opportunity to provide dedicated support to K-8 students within a contract lasting the current school year. The role requires a fully licensed professional (ABS or School Social Worker license) to deliver specialized services in a K-12 school setting focused on special education.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support social skills development, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy.
- Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support students’ behavior regulation.
- Manage a K-8 caseload, tailoring interventions to meet individual student needs.
- Ensure compliance with all special education requirements and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Fully licensed to teach in Minnesota with an ABS or School Social Worker license.
- Experience working with students with special education needs, especially in behavior support and social-emotional learning.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
