Special Education Teacher - Lakeville, MN

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis in a dynamic school environment near Lakeville, MN. As an integral member of the educational team, you will work closely with students, colleagues, and families to develop individualized learning plans that foster student growth and achievement.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities and learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, assessment, and implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with current best practices in inclusive education and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to provide necessary accommodations and modifications
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on student progress, challenges, and successes
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth
