As an integral member of the educational team, you will work closely with students, colleagues, and families to develop individualized learning plans that foster student growth and achievement.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities and learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, assessment, and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with current best practices in inclusive education and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to provide necessary accommodations and modifications
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on student progress, challenges, and successes
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth
