This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) to support students in a group home setting. The role focuses on providing direct and indirect special education services to high school-aged individuals between 14 and 21 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral challenges
- Provide in-person teaching from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with flexible hours for indirect services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs
- Maintain compliance with special education policies and regulations within a group home setting
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education, preferably with a focus on EBD
- Experience working with adolescents aged 14-21 in educational or residential environments
- Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills
- Ability to work part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work on-site as required
