This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in two distinct K-12 settings: a K–1 sub-separate classroom specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a high school resource room. Both roles focus on delivering tailored instruction, supporting communication and social skills, managing IEPs, and collaborating closely with educators, staff, and families to foster student success.

Key Responsibilities:

K–1 Sub-Separate Classroom (ASD)

  • Deliver individualized instruction to young learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Support development of communication and social skills
  • Collaborate with staff and families to help students achieve IEP goals

High School Resource Room

  • Provide targeted instruction designed to support academic achievement
  • Manage IEP caseloads, develop appropriate goals, and monitor progress
  • Assist students in navigating both specialized and general education environments
  • Work collaboratively with educators and support personnel

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate to the state
  • Experience working with students with ASD preferred for K–1 role
  • Experience with high school students preferred for resource room role
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking

Location: Leominster, MA
Duration: Contract for the current school year
