An opportunity is available for a full-time Adaptive Special Education Teacher supporting high school students in grades 9-12. This role involves working in an adaptive self-contained classroom dedicated to meeting the unique needs of students requiring specialized instruction and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver adaptive curriculum and instructional strategies suited for an adaptive self-contained classroom.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including counselors, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
- Monitor student growth and behavior, providing assessments and progress reports.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Adaptive Special Education Certification is required.
- Experience teaching special education at the high school level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adaptive teaching methods and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting.

- This position is based in Lexington, North Carolina, within a public school setting.
Job Type:
- Contract position, full-time with 37.5 hours per week.
