Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification with an adaptive curriculum license
• Previous experience in a special education classroom, preferably in a self-contained or separate setting
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Ability to design and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills
• Creative, patient, and compassionate approach

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instruction using adaptive curriculum for students in a separate setting class
• Create engaging lesson plans and individualized learning strategies
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Work closely with instructional assistants, related service providers, and families
• Support students’ emotional and social development
• Ensure compliance with special education laws and guidelines
