A middle school Special Education Teacher position is available to provide specialized instruction and case management for approximately 25-30 middle school students in grades 6th under a mild to moderate support model. This contract role runs through the current school year with an immediate start and extends through 5/22/2026. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, averaging 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions aligned with students’ IEPs
- Manage caseload of 25-30 middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing effective behavior and learning plans
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Colorado Special Education teaching license
- Experience working with middle school students in a mild/moderate special education program
- Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to manage caseloads effectively
