Special Education Teacher - Lowell, MA

This opportunity seeks dedicated Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. You will play a critical role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere tailored to meet diverse student needs. Openings include:

• High School Inclusion Teacher: Deliver inclusive instruction and collaborate with general education staff to support students with special needs in mainstream classrooms.

• Resource Teacher with Autism Focus (K-8 Grammar School): Provide targeted interventions and specialized support for students with autism, working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams.

• 4th Grade Resource Classroom Teacher: Manage and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students within a resource setting, adapting curricula and monitoring progress.

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts
Assignment Type: Contract, CSY (Current School Year)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
• Utilize data-driven assessments to adjust instructional strategies and monitor student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with diverse learners across K-12 settings
• Strong knowledge of instructional methods for inclusion and autism spectrum disorders
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
