Middle School Special Ed Teacher | Lowell, Massachusetts

This contract position seeks a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an inclusion classroom setting. The role begins on November 25th and ends on February 6th, covering a leave assignment. Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized instruction and support tailored to students’ unique learning needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to promote academic and social success
• Maintaining detailed documentation and communication with families and school personnel
• Creating a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students in an inclusive classroom
• Strong understanding of IEP development and special education law
• Ability to differentiate instruction and use a variety of teaching methods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
