This contract position seeks a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in an inclusion classroom setting. The role begins on November 25th and ends on February 6th, covering a leave assignment. Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized instruction and support tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to promote academic and social success
- Maintaining detailed documentation and communication with families and school personnel
- Creating a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students in an inclusive classroom
- Strong understanding of IEP development and special education law
- Ability to differentiate instruction and use a variety of teaching methods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
