An Elementary Special Education Teacher opportunity is available within a public school setting in Waltham, MA. This position focuses on the TASC program, serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who require Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support academic, behavioral, and social learning.

  • Onsite assignment

Duration and Hours:

  • Contract position through June 15, 2026
  • Approximately 32 hours per week

Position Overview: The teacher will be one of three educators working collaboratively alongside six paraprofessionals to provide tailored support across all school day activities for students in a sub-separate program. The role requires expertise in guiding students with severe special needs to promote their growth and development in multiple domains.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Severe Special Needs licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
  • Demonstrated competence as a highly qualified special education professional within licensure area
  • Experience working with students requiring ABA and specialized behavioral interventions

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ needs and IEP goals
  • Implement ABA strategies consistently throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with team members including paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators
  • Monitor and document student progress and adapt interventions as necessary
  • Foster inclusive learning environments that enhance social and academic outcomes
