This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support students with severe autism in a K-12 school setting. The position is onsite in Lowell, MA, and covers a maternity leave from April through July. This role is ideal for educators with experience working in special education who are passionate about making a meaningful difference during a short-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with severe autism in a K-12 environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to promote positive outcomes
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administration to ensure consistent support across settings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students with severe autism or related disabilities
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday during contract duration
