Special Education Teacher - Madison, NJ

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting a middle school setting focused on students with mild to moderate learning disabilities. This contract position runs from October 20, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, located in Madison, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to middle school students (grades 6-8) with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student success.
• Utilize effective classroom management and instructional strategies to engage students.
• Monitor and document student progress in accordance with state and district guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education license in New Jersey.
• Active New Jersey Educator Certification, or currently pending.
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly in Science or Math, is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate diverse learner needs.
