Located in Manchester, TN, this contract role spans the 25/26 school year, providing consistent engagement with a dedicated caseload in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained CDC Special Education setting for grades 6-8.
- Manage and support a caseload of 10-15 students, tailoring educational plans to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain extensive records and monitor student progress to ensure educational goals are met.
- Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Tennessee 461 Special Education (SPED) license.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students in self-contained special education settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and behavioral intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student success and professional growth.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Typical hours are 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Classroom located in Manchester, Tennessee.
