A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at an elementary school serving grades K-5 with approximately 16 students. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) and operates on a consistent bell schedule from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities include providing resource and pull-out support, as well as some push-in instruction to meet the diverse needs of the student population. The role focuses exclusively on special education, with a firm no to vocational duties. Collaboration with Emergis, a behavioral health and education service, is part of the support framework.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience teaching special education students in grades K-5
- Skilled in delivering resource room, pull-out, and push-in instructional models
- Ability to collaborate with external support services such as Emergis
- Strong classroom management and individualized education plan (IEP) implementation expertise
- Must be available to start immediately and commit through the end of the academic year
