A professional role is available for Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students within a contract school year position in McMinnville, OR. This opportunity involves working directly onsite to provide targeted educational assistance tailored to diverse learning and behavioral needs in a structured school setting.

Positions available include:

  • 2 Elementary Resource teachers focusing on Math, Reading, and Writing support
  • 1 Middle School Developmental Classroom teacher specializing in low cognitive and basic skill development
  • 3 Elementary Developmental teachers concentrating on behavioral support and foundational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions aligned with students' IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavioral observations
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behaviors and learning engagement

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 levels
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, students, and families
  • Ability to manage classroom environments effectively and implement individualized instructional plans
  • Recent supervisory reference contact information is required to be considered for the role
