Special Education Teacher - Medway, MA

This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized education services to middle school students in grades 5 through 8 with diverse learning needs. The role requires delivering tailored instruction in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math to a small group of 11 students, fostering academic growth and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and implement customized lessons in ELA and Math aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Employ strategies and interventions suitable for students with moderate to severe special education needs
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet evolving learning goals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other educators and support staff, to enhance student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding student development and performance

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification with a focus on Moderate or Severe disabilities
• Previous experience working with middle school students (grades 5-8) in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for ELA and Math tailored to special education students
• Ability to manage and engage small groups, providing individualized attention and support
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Location and Schedule:

• Position located in Medway, Massachusetts
• Contract duration: November 5th through December 19th
• Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:05 PM
