Special Ed Teacher | Middleburg, Florida

This opportunity is for an experienced Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher to lead a classroom serving diverse learners in an elementary school setting. The position is a full-time contract running from January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026, and is located in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves managing an inclusive classroom with students exhibiting varying learning levels and exceptionalities, providing specialized instruction tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student strengths and needs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction to a self-contained elementary special education classroom.
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel to enhance student learning.
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Florida certification in Special Education (ESE).
• Additional certification in Elementary Education (K-6) or Early Childhood Education (PK-3).
• Experience teaching elementary self-contained special education classrooms.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to address diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.

Location:

• On-site position in Jacksonville, FL at an elementary school (specific school location to be confirmed).

Schedule:
