Special Ed Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized support for elementary students with behavioral and cross-categorical needs. Located onsite in Burnsville, MN, the role is part of a site-based elementary program serving approximately 8-10 students. The assignment runs from January 5 through June 4, 2026, on a full-semester contract basis.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing targeted behavior strategies and individualized behavior plans
• Structuring classroom routines and environments conducive to student success
• Delivering strong, evidence-based instruction tailored to students with Emotional Behavioral Disorders and diverse cross-categorical needs
• Collaborating with special education and general education staff to support student goals
• Coordinating schedules and working closely with paraprofessionals to maximize instructional support
• Maintaining excellent attendance and professional communication with all team members

Ideal candidates will hold a valid Minnesota Teaching Credential with specialization in one or more of the following areas:

• Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
• Special Education: Early Childhood
• Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
• Special Education: Learning Disabilities
• Special Education: Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional)
