Special Ed Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a Middle School WAVE program from January 5 to February 9, 2026. This position is ideal for an experienced educator holding a Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education with a focus on Developmental Cognitive Disabilities. The role is based on-site in Robbinsdale, MN, and provides a unique chance to deliver specialized instruction during a short-term leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored educational instruction within the WAVE program designed for middle school students with developmental cognitive disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Uphold classroom management and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education – Developmental Cognitive Disabilities.
• Proven experience working with middle school students in special education settings.
