A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a high school setting serving grades 9-12. The role begins on August 6th and is a contract position for the entire school year. This opportunity involves managing a caseload of 15-20 students within a resource classroom environment, providing targeted support to meet diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and accommodations to students with special needs in a resource classroom setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and support staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior according to school and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure integrated support.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12).
