In this SPED-Itinerant travel role, you’ll work across multiple elementary school sites, supporting staff with caseload overages and providing high-quality services to students with special needs. Your expertise will be central in conducting and analyzing assessments, leading IEP development, and directly assisting both students and colleagues.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid credential/certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous in-classroom experience in special education settings
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and reporting findings
- Background supporting IEP processes
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations in the area
Responsibilities:
- Assist schools with caseload management and overflow needs across various sites
- Conduct student assessments and provide actionable data for IEPs
- Collaborate with educational teams to implement individualized student plans
- Support and facilitate IEP meetings and required documentation
- Deliver direct instructional support primarily at the elementary level
