A multidisciplinary team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Junior High Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in Naperville, IL, on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on delivering specialized academic support and therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with individual IEP goals and state standards
  • Create a supportive, structured classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
  • Implement trauma-informed behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate closely with social workers, therapists, behavior specialists, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Develop, maintain, and update IEPs, progress reports, and other required documentation
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Monitor student progress continuously and adjust instructional methods accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement
  • Experience working with junior high students in a special education setting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Location: Naperville, IL (Middle School setting)
Duration: Contract for Current School Year (CSY)
