A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for the school year calendar (CSY), spanning November through February. This role is ideal for educators passionate about supporting elementary students with Autism in a self-contained classroom setting. The position is located near Itasca, IL, within an elementary program serving approximately seven students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in Math and Reading aligned with established curriculum.
- Implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including ongoing documentation and writing.
- Provide specialized support to students with Autism to foster their academic and social growth.
- Collaborate effectively with support staff and other educators to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Life Skills Teacher or Special Education Teacher.
- Experience working with elementary students, especially those with Autism.
- Proficient in developing and executing IEPs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
