This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in social, emotional, and behavioral programs within a K-8 educational setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Manage a caseload within the therapeutic program, providing targeted support and interventions

  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification
  • Experience working with K-8 students in social, emotional, and behavioral programs
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic educational strategies and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to create a nurturing and structured classroom atmosphere
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located in Joliet, IL, serving a district school setting
  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE contract role through May 29, 2026
  • Typical schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (35 hours per week)
