This full-time contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher in a high school setting, starting February 2, 2026, and concluding on May 1, 2026. The position involves co-teaching responsibilities within the classroom and is designated as an FMLA coverage role. The role is based in the Naperville, Illinois area and offers a dynamic environment to support students with special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to high school students in a co-teaching model
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents and staff
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Special Education License: LBS1
- Experience working with high school students in special education preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
