This full-time contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher in a high school setting, starting February 2, 2026, and concluding on May 1, 2026. The position involves co-teaching responsibilities within the classroom and is designated as an FMLA coverage role. The role is based in the Naperville, Illinois area and offers a dynamic environment to support students with special education needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to high school students in a co-teaching model
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support diverse learning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents and staff
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Special Education License: LBS1
  • Experience working with high school students in special education preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
