Special Education Teacher in Nashua, NH

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a group of six elementary students with very high needs in Nashua, NH. This full-semester contract position requires dedicated expertise in special education, focusing on delivering tailored instruction and managing individualized educational plans.

Responsibilities include managing 1:1 paraprofessionals who assist in providing access to general education environments according to each student's needs. Collaboration with an in-house Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and related services team is an integral part of this role. Key duties also involve overseeing special education processes such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and eligibility documentation to ensure compliance and student progress.

The position operates within school hours, with students attending daily from 8:20 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. The expected on-site commitment is approximately eight hours per week. However, significant planning time is necessary, especially at the start of the semester, and additional hours dedicated to planning will be compensated.

Qualifications and desired experience:
