Special Education Teacher - New Braunfels, TX

This opportunity is ideal for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Structured Learning Classrooms (SLC) within a K-12 setting near San Antonio, Texas. The position focuses on providing comprehensive educational support to students in intermediate and elementary levels, fostering growth and development within a structured learning environment.

Location:

• Near San Antonio, TX (New Braunfels vicinity)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction in a Structured Learning Classroom, ensuring the educational needs of students with special needs are met effectively.
• Manage caseloads primarily at intermediate and elementary grade levels.
• Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
• Work 37.5 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including an unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified Special Education Teacher with relevant experience, ideally in Structured Learning Classrooms.
• Experience working with elementary and intermediate students within special education settings.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to manage classrooms and caseloads effectively with patience and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work alongside educators, parents, and support staff.
