Special Ed Teacher | New Britain, Connecticut

A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in New Britain, CT from October 30th, 2025 through February 9th, 2026. This contract role offers the chance to provide essential resource support within a structured school schedule, working weekdays from 8:40 AM to 3:50 PM.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP) required
• Experience working in special education, preferably within elementary schools
• Ability to deliver resource support tailored to individual student needs
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with school staff and families

• School hours: 8:40 AM to 3:50 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support to elementary students with special education needs
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with team members
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Communicate regularly with directors, parents, and other educational professionals
• Maintain documentation and comply with school and state guidelines
