A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in New Caney, TX. This contract role begins immediately and extends through May 29th, serving primarily middle and high school students.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with a secondary school population, demonstrating skills in managing diverse caseloads in middle and high school environments. Preference is given to educators who have experience as a Diagnostician or are currently completing diagnostician training, bringing valuable expertise in assessment and individualized education planning.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities across middle and high school grade levels
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilizing assessment data to tailor educational strategies and monitor student progress
- Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth within the inclusion and special education settings
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience with secondary school students preferred
- Diagnostician experience or ongoing diagnostician training strongly desired
- Strong communication and organizational skills
