Special Ed Teacher | New Orleans, Louisiana

A K-12 public school in New Orleans, LA is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers to support diverse learners during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic educational environment while working a standard 35-hour week.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and accommodations to students with special needs across K-12 grade levels
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports social and academic growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student success

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education Special Education Certification required
• Experience working with K-12 students with special needs preferred
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Commitment to student-centered practices and continuous professional growth
• Ready to begin promptly without pending licensure processes

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Duration: Start ASAP – May 22, 2026
Hours: 35 hours per week (7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Caseload: To be determined based on school assignments
