This opportunity focuses on supporting K-5 students in a resource inclusion classroom setting within an elementary school. The caseload includes approximately 18 students, and paraprofessionals are available to provide additional support. This contract position requires 35 hours per week and offers an engaging environment for educators experienced in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual learning needs in a resource inclusion classroom.
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with related services staff.
- Manage and coordinate case management duties to ensure compliance and student progress.
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and other school personnel to foster a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Comfort and experience working with early childhood and lower elementary age groups (K-5).
- Proven ability to create, implement, and manage IEPs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective case management.
