Special Education Teacher in Norman, OK

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide tailored instructional support to K-12 students in a full-semester contract position located in Norman, OK. This role focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students with disabilities, fostering their academic growth and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Utilize behavior management and positive reinforcement techniques to encourage engagement
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input for student services

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education
