Special Ed Teacher | Norristown, Pennsylvania

This contract position provides an opportunity to support middle school students in a special education setting from August 18, 2024, through June 2025. The role focuses on delivering targeted instruction and inclusion support across various subjects including ELA, social studies, science, and math, with a combined 6th and 7th grade ELA class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver special education instruction tailored to individual student needs in a middle school environment
• Provide inclusion support to students in social studies, science, and math classes
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Maintain clear documentation and progress reports in alignment with IEP goals
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification (Instructional 1 or 2) required; emergency certifications will not be accepted
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive education practices

Location and Schedule:

• Position based in Norristown, PA
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 37.5 hours per week
• School year contract spanning August 18, 2024, through June 2025
