Grades 6 - 8 Grades 9 - 12 Special Education Teacher in North Grosvenordale, CT

This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Special Education Teacher experienced in supporting high school students (grades 9-12) within a mild to moderate inclusion/resource setting. The position is based in North Grosvenordale, CT and offers a contract role for the current school year with a start date as soon as possible through June 11.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiated learning
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment for students with mild to moderate special needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education for grades 9-12 (DSAP certifications not accepted)
• Proven experience working with mild to moderate special education populations
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and families

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM

This role offers competitive pay rates ranging from $33.50 to $46.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
