An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support middle school students within a specialized LIFT program focusing on low incidence Autism. This full-time position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting dedicated to providing tailored learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with Autism under the LIFT program
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to facilitate student success
Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Special Education License required
- Experience working in a middle school educational setting preferred
- Familiarity with low incidence disabilities and Autism spectrum disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to student-centered teaching practices
