Special Education Teacher - Paterson, NJ

Located in Paterson, NJ, this contract position offers an opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher for a middle school during the current school year, from January 15th through June 15th. The role focuses on supporting students with special needs in an inclusive, co-taught classroom setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of middle school students with disabilities
• Collaborating with general education teachers to co-teach and provide inclusive classroom experiences
• Managing a caseload of special education students, ensuring individualized accommodations and modifications are met
• Participating in team meetings and progress monitoring to support student growth

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students in inclusive or co-taught classrooms
• Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
• Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

This is a contract role within one building, with working hours from 7:55 a.m. to 3:05 p.m., Monday through Friday, aligning with the school day schedule.
