Special Ed Teacher | Paterson, New Jersey

A K-12 Special Education Teacher is needed for a contract position supporting students in a busy school environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in special education who are committed to fostering individualized learning experiences and supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities include collaborating with educational staff and specialists to address special education needs, developing and implementing tailored instructional plans, and monitoring student progress throughout the school year. The teacher will work closely with school administrators and support teams, staying looped in on special education requirements and proactively communicating about caseload specifics to ensure appropriate resource allocation and student support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid special education certification or licensure for K-12
• Experience working with a diverse range of special education students
• Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and compliance standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists
• Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
