Special Education Teacher - Cranston, RI

This long-term substitute position for a Special Education Teacher is focused on providing comprehensive support to students with diverse learning needs from April 30, 2025, until the last day of school, June 18, 2025.

Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Department of Education certification as a secondary special educator
• National BCI certification with fingerprint clearance
• Specialized training or willingness to be certified in SafetyCare
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices are effectively implemented
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate documentation as required
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and support staff regarding student development
