Qualifications:
- Valid Rhode Island Department of Education certification as a secondary special educator
- National BCI certification with fingerprint clearance
- Specialized training or willingness to be certified in SafetyCare
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Location:
- Cranston, RI
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices are effectively implemented
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate documentation as required
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and support staff regarding student development
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment conducive to student success
