A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support students in a Severe/Profound needs classroom within a middle school setting. This role is essential for creating an inclusive and adaptive learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of students. The position will commence with the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Summer 2025 and extend through the 2025–2026 academic year.
Location: Central Falls, RI
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Implement evidence-based practices tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
- Develop and maintain appropriate classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Rhode Island teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working with students with severe/profound disabilities is preferred.
- Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
