A school district in Rhode Island is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support an 8th-grade sub-separate classroom for students with intellectual disabilities. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small caseload of four students, facilitating a personalized and impactful teaching experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized education plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborating with support staff and related service providers to promote student growth

- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
- Valid Rhode Island Moderate (5–12) or Severe Special Education Teaching License required
- Out-of-state licenses will be considered for qualified candidates
- Demonstrated passion for special education and individualized instruction
- Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary support teams
