This contract position runs through the current school year and is based in Pelham, NH. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction to a small group of approximately 10 juniors and seniors, along with 10 charter school students, who are generally independent but benefit from tailored educational support.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for high school students
- Providing instructional support to foster student independence and academic growth
- Collaborating with staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents and school personnel
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple students and create an engaging classroom atmosphere
Schedule and Location:
- Position is based at a high school in Pelham, NH
- Work hours are from 7:45 AM to 2:30 PM
