A Special Education Teacher position is available at a school in Peyton, CO, offering a contract role dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet students’ unique learning styles and abilities
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure educational goals are met
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to facilitate integrated learning experiences
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
• Provide behavioral support and intervention aligned with best practices and school policies
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure for Special Education teaching
• Experience working with students with disabilities and varying special needs
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and instructional strategies
• Ability to create a positive, supportive classroom environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
