A full-time Life Skills Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school in Pflugerville, TX. This contract role extends through the current school year, ending May 25, 2026, with immediate start opportunities. The position primarily serves middle school or elementary students, focusing on delivering specialized instruction to support students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ life skills goals.
• Deliver specialized instruction that promotes independence, communication, and functional academic skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain classroom management and ensure a safe, supportive setting conducive to learning.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education, preferably with Life Skills endorsement.
• Experience working with K-12 students with special needs, especially those requiring functional and life skills instruction.

Schedule:

• Middle School: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Elementary: Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM
