An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students within a resource classroom setting. This full-time, contract position spans from December 8, 2025, to May 21, 2026, with four openings available. The role requires working onsite and managing caseloads predominantly in elementary and high school resource classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in resource classroom settings.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
  • Participate in meetings and complete necessary documentation to ensure compliance with special education regulations.
  • Assist with pending licensure requirements as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education (SPED) certification/license in New Mexico is required.
  • Experience working in elementary and high school special education resource classrooms preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive education.

Schedule and Location:

  • Position is full time, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
  • The job is located onsite in Clovis, NM.
  • Contract duration is for the current school year (CSY).

This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about supporting diverse learners and have valid special education credentials in New Mexico. Professional development and mentoring will be available to assist teachers pending licensure.
