Special Ed Teacher - Pottstown, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support preschool-aged children with special needs in community preschool settings. Located in Broomall, PA, this itinerant role involves working with approximately 30 students across various community preschools within the Delaware County region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool students with special education needs.
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with families, preschool staff, and educational support personnel to ensure effective learning environments.
• Travel to multiple community preschool sites within the designated area.
• Participate in training and utilize guidance provided to enhance instructional strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania certification in Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade (PK-4) and/or Special Education.
• Candidates holding emergency permits in special education will be considered.
• Experience working with young children with special education needs preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Position Details:

• Location: Broomall, PA (Delaware County region).
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Weekly Hours: 35 hours.
• Caseload: Approximately 30 itinerant preschool students.
• Contract term: Current School Year (CSY).
