Special Education Teacher - Reading, PA

Engage as a Special Education Teacher providing dedicated support to students with special needs within a K-12 school setting. This contract position follows the school calendar and involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized instruction, manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain compliance with Pennsylvania special education regulations.

Location: Positions are available in Reading, PA, with possible placements varying within Carbon and Lehigh Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families.
• Ensure adherence to Pennsylvania’s special education laws and guidelines.
• Maintain detailed documentation and progress tracking.
• Utilize instructional technology and Microsoft Office to enhance learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania PDE Special Education Certification (required).
• Proven experience in IEP development and implementation.
• Strong classroom management and organization skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies and Microsoft Office tools.

Additional Details:

• Commitment: 35 hours per week.
• Assignment duration aligns with the school calendar, tentatively until June 12, 2026.
