An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle and high school students in Red Oak, TX. This full-time, onsite contract position involves working with a caseload of students, providing tailored instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs. The role focuses on secondary education, particularly with students requiring special education services in math.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to special education students in middle and high school settings.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students’ needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure inclusive classroom environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and school personnel.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Special Education teaching license/certification.
- Certification in secondary mathematics.
- Experience teaching special education students at middle or high school level preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to manage a caseload and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
