A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available with multiple openings to provide dedicated support in diverse educational settings. These roles are onsite within schools in Ridgeland, SC, offering opportunities to work with students ranging from early childhood through to severe and profound needs.

Locations include:

• Early Childhood program at Okatie Elementary
• Severe and Profound program at May River High School

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a supportive learning environment
• Utilize specialized instructional techniques and adaptive tools to foster student growth and engagement
• Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with early childhood or severe and profound special education preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
