Special Education Teacher in Rison, AR

Seeking a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a contract role within the schools system. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.

Location:

• Middle school setting in Rison, Arkansas

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a middle school environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with special education regulations
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to student growth and development

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification/license
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Knowledge of special education laws and best practices
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs

Schedule and Duration:

• Full-time contract position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Immediate start date with assignment lasting through the end of the school year
